Joondalup Festival of Motoring organisers are proud to announce that Tyrepower has continued their naming right’s sponsorship of the 2024 event which will be a two-day celebration of the motorcar’s beauty, history and culture both past and present, held in the Joondalup city centre May 4 & 5.
Originally announced for the 2023 event, the Mariginiup- Wanneroo bushfires postponed the event and stalled the inaugural year of the partnership.
Event Director Justin Hunt said that sponsor’s understanding and patience was appreciated by the organising team during the period of uncertainty. “We’re lucky to have sponsors like Tyrepower who are genuinely love the Festival format and want to support community motoring events,” Justin said.
“Their enthusiasm plus the anticipation for the rescheduled event from participants, other sponsors and the local community has really spurred the event team on.
Tyrepower General Manager Dale Klompmaker said there was no question whether the group would renew their commitment to the Joondalup Festival of Motoring.
“Last year’s postponement was a disappointment, not just for us but for the entire community eagerly awaiting the festival,” he said.
“Our hearts went out to the Wanneroo community affected by the bushfires, and we extend our gratitude to the fire and emergency service workers and volunteers for their incredible efforts.
“As we gear up for this year’s event, the anticipation is brining greater excitement, and we’re looking forward to sharing this unique experience with the local community, WA and all visitors.
“This is a celebration of automotive culture that brings together the past, present, and future of motoring, with something for everyone, so I encourage you all to come along, from car enthusiasts to families looking for a fun day out.”
The free two-day programme features a mix of new additions and festival favourites. New to the festival line-up is Saturday’s JFOM Trash or Treasure Car Jumble, where attendees can stroll through a treasure trove of automotive parts and memorabilia.
