A stunning array of American and Australian muscle machines is coming to the Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring on Saturday, 25 November, for Steel Bumpers and Beverages, a co-hosted event between the Festival and Northern Steel Car Club.

Steel Bumpers and Beverages will see the hundreds of car bays in the Joondalup Civic Car Park filled with the vehicles of Northern Steel members that can only be described as old-school cool. Next door at Central Park, there will be a pop-up bar, food trucks, and live music all amongst a collection of rare and distinctive vehicles.

Northern Steel Car Club is a tight-knit community of over a thousand members passionate about pre-89 and classic automobiles. Club Secretary and Co-Founder Alison Davis says the club enjoys getting out in the community.

“Northern Steel started in September 2018 with regular monthly meets and formalised into a Car Club two years later,” said Alison.

“As well as our regular monthly meets and annual car show, we also run other events such as cruises to pubs and coffee spots, and we will be introducing runs to retirement villages.

“The community spirit of our club is what makes it special. Our activities regularly support men’s, women’s and children’s health charities, along with conducting an annual Christmas toy run to Perth Children’s Hospital.

“Being involved in Steel Bumpers and Beverages at the Joondalup Festival of Motoring is an opportunity to showcase our member’s cars and be a part of the local community with such a fabulous event right in our backyard.”

The Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring Festival, which takes place from 24 November to 26, will transform Joondalup CBD into a vibrant celebration of automotive design, function, and culture. It’s a family-friendly event that caters to all, whether attendees are lifelong car enthusiasts or simply looking for a fun day out.
