Let’s GO: 2025 Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring Launch

The Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring has kicked off its 2025 event countdown. The occasion was marked with an epic trophy relay featuring a larger-than-life first-place trophy on a stylish grand tour from Perth’s CBD to Joondalup.

The journey north featured uniquely Perth backdrops such as the Belltower, WA coastline and Central Park in Joondalup.  Each perfectly executed pit stop showcased glimpses of the classic sports cars transporting the trophy and created buzz as curious onlookers witnessed this unique relay of horsepower and hardware.

The grand finale saw the trophy make its triumphant entry into Joondalup, where Mayor Albert Jacob was waiting at Central Park to claim temporary custody of the supersized symbol of motorsport glory. With a grin that would make any race winner proud, the Mayor assured everyone he’d keep it safe until the Festival roars back to life this May – though we suspect he might be practising his podium poses in the meantime.

Mark your calendars for May 2-4, 2025, when the Joondalup City Centre will transform into a motoring and motorsport haven. With the Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring set to host more than 1,000 vehicles of all eras and styles across the three days, as well as the return of the Joondalup City Sprint on Sunday, the Festival promises to provide more excitement than gaining a lightning bolt power-up on the final lap. Game on, Perth – start your engines!
