The event map of the 2023 Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring has been revealed, helping attendees navigate themselves around the exhilarating line-up of motorsport, car displays, entertainers, activations, live music, outdoor movies, food vans and pop-up bars at the FREE event.
The festival runs for three days from Friday, November 24 to Sunday, 26 November, and while there’s plenty to see and do across the whole weekend, the map focuses on Sunday’s program.
On Sunday, festivalgoers can catch the thrill and excitement of cars in full flight when a select few public roads in the Joondalup City Centre are closed to the public but open to high horsepower traffic for the Joondalup City Sprint. There will be plenty of comfortable, safe, prime viewing places to catch the motorsport action as detailed on the map.
Off track from 9am to 5pm there will be six exciting zones in operation for attendees to explore and enjoy:
- Tyrepower Central Park (Saturday & Sunday)
Central Park will host a curated collection of desirable vehicles from various eras. Here, you’ll find the JFOM Bar with food and beverages available. The Bar overlooks the Joondalup City Sprint track, making it the perfect vantage point to catch the on-track action. Live Entertainment will be on the JFOM stage from Sunday 1pm – 4pm.
- Kennards Hire Hub (Saturday & Sunday, situated beside Lotteries House on Boas Ave)
At the Kennards Hire Hub, there will be a delicious range of food and beverage trucks to satisfy the appetite. There will also be a selection of exhibitors, including the JFOM Merchandise and Information booth.
- JFOM Kids Club (Sunday Only, Between Kennards Hire Hub and Tyrepower Central Park)
Amongst the big kid’s toys you’ll find a magical space to entertain the little ones! Head to the grassed area between the Kennards Hire Hub and Tyrepower Central Park to find the JFOM Kids Club. The kids will be entertained with a bouncy castle, face painting, art classes and a magician.
- Hyundai N Zone (Sunday only, Joondalup Library Car Park & Boas Ave)
Hyundai N Club will conduct a drive day for approximately 100 vehicles, including a Joondalup City Sprint Course parade lap, followed by a BBQ in the Hyundai N Zone. There will also be the Hyundai N Club Show & Shine on Boas Avenue in front of the library.
- Trevors Display Zone (Sunday only, Various City Centre Locations)
The Trevors Carpets Display Zones will host hundreds of gleaming static display vehicles from some of Perth’s most prominent car clubs and collectives. Explore the streets and laneways within the Joondalup City Centre to discover the full range of stunning vehicles from across the decades.
- Shannons Service Zone (Sunday only, Cnr McLarty Ave & Reid Prom)
Shannons Service Zone is where the vehicles competing in the Joondalup City Sprint will be located between runs.
The Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring is a short stroll from the Joondalup Train Station, and we encourage all attendees to take advantage of the convenient access to public transport.
If you need to come by car, park your pride and joy in ECU Carpark 20. Please be fair to our neighbours by not using the Lakeside Shopping Centre Car Park, unless you are planning on also doing your Christmas Shopping after the event.
For ease of access and pedestrian flow on Sunday, there will be four managed pedestrian crossings across the Sprint course that a dedicated team of event officials will open every 30 minutes (approx.) for use. Grand Boulevard will remain open throughout the day for pedestrian access.
If you’d rather be the other side of the barrier to the spectators by participating in the Joondalup City Sprint, we are holding entries open until 4pm, Tuesday, 21 November. Get all the entry details, road closure information and the three-day event program from www.jfom.com.au.
