The moment has arrived – entries for the 2025 Joondalup City Sprint, the headline event of the Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring, are now open for previous participants. Exclusive entry access for previous competitors runs until Monday, 31 March, when general entries will open.
The Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring will again transform the Joondalup City Centre into a motoring paradise from 2-4 May. On Sunday, 4 May, select roads will close to come alive with the exhilarating Joondalup City Sprint, where competitors will unleash their vehicles’ full potential – masterfully balancing horsepower with handling precision as they battle across four heart-pounding runs for the fastest overall time.
This year’s Sprint course features refinements, that create a thrilling, technical, and perfectly legal blast through Joondalup’s streets. Now measuring 1.8 km, the course has been strategically shortened by approximately 300 metres, eliminating the previously unpopular hairpin section while introducing a reimagined, more dynamic roundabout section near ECU. These carefully considered adjustments also enhance both safety and resident access.
Sprint entries will close Thursday, 17 April, but competitors should act swiftly – the entry field has been strictly capped at just 120 this year. Entry forms, supplementary regulations and comprehensive event information can be accessed via our Competitors page. All Sprint competitors must hold a Motorsport Australia Speed level license or higher.
Beyond the Sprint, the Festival of Motoring promises a spectacular automotive celebration featuring over a thousand gleaming display vehicles throughout Joondalup’s Central Park, Civic Centre car park and surrounding streets. Visitors will discover impressive collections from Perth’s premier car clubs, including Northern Steel, Rexpo, Classic Cars and Coffee featuring JDM and Hyundai N Club. The festival experience extends beyond motorsport with live music, entertainment, an automotive swap meet and delicious food and beverage options for all ages.
Please note that road closures will be in effect around the Joondalup City Centre on 4 May, with access maps to be published on the website closer to event.
