Polished and pristine machines will take over the laneways of the Joondalup City Centre on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November for the 2023 Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring.
Event organisers invite members of Perth’s car clubs and collectives to bring their pride and joy out of the garage to put on display for all to enjoy at this free family event. You are also welcome to roll on in solo – we just love cars!
The rows of hundreds of pristine vehicles lining the Joondalup streets were a highlight of last year’s event, allowing attendees to get up close and appreciate the vehicles from various eras, manufacturers, and countries of origin.
Adding to the colour and variety of vehicles on show are some of Perth’s most popular car groups who will be holding their monthly car meets at the festival.
Each day will have its own display theme and the program is:
Saturday 25th November, 12pm to 9pm: Saturday’s theme is Australian, American and Steel Bumper vehicles. From 4pm, Northern Steel will roll into the Instant Product’s display zone to showcase their old school cool vehicles for their monthly meet from 7:00 pm.
Sunday 26th November, 9am to 5pm: On Sunday, the spotlight turns to classic, exotic, European, and Japanese vehicles. The festival will host Classic Cars and Coffee and the JDM Prefecture monthly meet in the Instant Products display zone. Meanwhile, Hyundai N Club will be cruising up to the festival and assembling on Boas Ave.
On both days. there is a festival atmosphere to enjoy with entertainment, food trucks and a pop-up bar, making it the perfect place for a social gathering of your car group.
Displaying your car at the festival is free. However, Classic Cars and Coffee are fundraising for Prostate Cancer, so a $10 fee will apply to join their display.
Organisers ask that groups over five notify organisers (info@jfom.com.au) before the event so an area can be allocated to your group. On Sunday, display vehicles must enter via the Davidson Terrace and Shenton Avenue intersection due to road closures being in place. Those displaying vehicles will not be locked in and can leave the event at a time of their choosing.
The Tyrepower Joondalup Festival of Motoring is a car culture experience that compliments a motorsport main event, celebrating the automobile’s design, function, and culture in a way that you don’t have to be a lifelong car enthusiast to appreciate.
The free family event takes over the Joondalup City Centre from 24 – 26 November. The program features an exciting line-up of activities, including motorsport, car displays, entertainers, activations, live music, outdoor movies, food vans and pop-up bars. To plan your day, visit www.jfom.com.au.
